Because birds can be intolerant of artificial pesticides, fertilisers and preservatives, Harrison's Bird Foods have developed the first and only 100% Organic bird food.

The ingredients are premium whole grains and are approved for human consumption.

High Potency should be used when your bird has increased nutritional requirements such as during moulting, breeding, rearing, weaning and ill health. It can also be used if your bird is underweight, overweight, particularly active, recovering from illness, affected by liver or kidney disease or is housed in a cold climate.

High Potency should be fed for at least 6 - 9 months during weaning.

We would recommend a veterinary health check prior to changing your bird's diet.

This smallest nugget size is intended for companion birds such as Cockatiels, Parakeets (Budgies), Canaries and Finches.

Excellent Product - Less Mess Than Seeds

I decided to change my seed junkie cockatiels to a pelleted diet after having to have one of them put down who developed an cancerous tumour - the bird in question was a picky eater with a passion for sunflower seeds and therefore did not choose a balanced diet. My birds took to this formula straight away without any problems much to my surprise and within a few months I noticed an improvement in their plumage and energy levels. I still give seeds occasionally as a special treat which they relish. Would highly recommend the super fine grade for cockatiels.

Ive been a devoted customer of Zupreem for many years. I recently purchased their fruitblend product for my cockatiel chick who Ive raised. There was so much wastage so I thought Id try Harrisons. The superfine version of this pellet resembles millet so its very easy to trick your bird into trying it. Both my tiels stuff this like its going out of fashion! More fool me, now I have to buy Harrisons as they wont touch anything else. The arguments about a pellet or seed diet will go on for all eternity. I have macaws, cockatiels, caiques and a cockatoo all on pellet and plumages are amazing. Check the ingredients and you will find that millet and sunflowers are included in Harrisons but with the added health benefits of all the vitamins.

I use this for my budgies but have to mix it in with seeds as they won't eat it otherwise. I have not been using it for long but have noticed a difference in the quality of two of my birds feathers since starting. I would recommend this product.

Very healthy diet for my 'tiel

I've recently become the proud mum of a cockatiel...my first bird (aside from a budgie when I was a child). Having done all the research about what's the best diet I came to the conclusion that it's Harrison's plus fresh fruit & veg. I was really trepidatious about switching my seed eating tiel having seen all the discussions about it online, but I have to say there was no need. I did the 10% 1st week, 20% 2nd week thing....for 2 weeks then realised my tiel was eating the Harrison's so went to offering only Harrison's except for 1 hr in the morning & evening (when I gave seed too). With 3 days my bird had switched over & we haven't looked back. He's eating well, his plumage is gorgeous and so far so good. I'm going to switch him to the 'Fine' when I get the next bag. The fruit & veg is another matter....we're still working on that!
