I wasn sure that my tiels would use it for foraging but thought that if they at least saw it as a hanging toy with a bell, then thatd be something but I caught my eldest, Rio trying to get the food out and I know at least 1 of my others is doing the same. Only thing is, not sure if theyre able to eat the food. I hear a lot of it drop to the bottom of the cage and it didnt come with a cage fastener so had to take 1 off another toy.

I love the idea of this toy, looks good and is quite strong. So far Charlie is happy to sit next to it and I often see him walk up to it, inspect the contents and walk away but I don't think he's worked out how to use it. We are poking things through the holes so hopefully he'll learn soon :) it often takes him a while with new things

too small for a grey

I have a grey and he realised how to unclip this and he broke it. Didnt show much interest in it and destroyed it very quickly. The material of the ball is very cheaply made.

my green cheek conure who iv had only a week, was interested in this product right from when i started filling it up, usually reluctant to return to her cage, she was more eager to get pecking at this toy! i filled it with her favourites - pommegranite! brilliant forraging toy, even the bell at the bottom provides plently of entertainment!

My Grey showed immediate interest

Having bought (which had been firmly rejected ) the large foraging wheel for my Grey, I was delighted that he showed immediate interest in this toy. We originally filled the bell up with paper and food treats - we have discontinued the food as everything extricated from the ball is thrown to the floor and Eddie is not a bird that would stoop so low as to pick up his own food (!) so we now use shreeded paper from our home shredder - now it is double shredded!

Our cockatiels love this toy and go running for it as soon as they see it coming to the cage. It's a great size for them - big enough to hold plenty, without being big enough to be intimidating. We fill it up half with a variety of treats, like dried chillies, nutriberries, cinnamon sticks and pumpkin seeds, and with a variety of other objects, like wooden beads, dry pasta and small bits of balsa wood. Then give it a shake to mix them together. Our birds have learnt to manipulate the beads to move them out of the way, and pull out the pasta so they can get to the treats, and it gives them an extra challenge. The photos show what they can do in just a day.

I bought this for my grey, but needless to say he soon worked out how to unscrew it from the clip attached to the cage. It spent more time on the floor than hanging up!

Poor Quality

I bought this for my grey, who found it easy to use, however, in no time the plastic had cracked, making the toy unusable. The plastic is quite thin and flimsy, and not worth the money in my opinion.
