Made from super tough polymer designed to withstand tough chewers, the Barrel of Fun - Entertaining Foraging Toy for Parrots is great for placing fruits, veggies or any treat inside.

Push in the chamber and turn to lock, then hang and watch instinct take over.

For an easier skill level, only partially turn the chamber. And for added foraging fun, hang several Barrel of Fun toys around your Parrot's cage and hide food in one or all.

Great For The Cage

I love solid foraging toys that I can vary in the cage, this has been added to rotation. Resets quickly if Im in a rush and scout loves it, she dangles from it whilst unlocking it. You can start off without it in locking position then turn it further as the parrot understands the challenge. Happily fits a sugar snap pea, carrot button, few seeds, small grape. Our of my favs

Lives up to its' name

My senegal cracked this in minutes the first time and now goes straight to it when I put him back in his cage and opens it in less than a minute. However, he seems to really enjoy it, it gives him some stimulation and he also spends ages hanging off it and abusing it when it's empty (just to show it what he thinks of it for not coming up with the goods!) so although it's so easy to open I think it does what it says on the box and, I imagine because it does give him a treat regularly, he hasn't got bored with it. It hasn't been damaged at all by his treatment of it and is a very sturdy toy that I imagine will last forever, so definitely recommended

Fun, safe, hard wearing

My green cheek has had this toy well over a year now, in fact it is probably nearer two or three, and it shows no sign of any wear and tear as yet. It was a challenge for him to start with as it was one of the first foraging toys he had and we had to help him out a little.Even after all this time he still loves the toy and is a pro at opening it. He will even keep opening and shutting it over and over again in the hope it has magically refilled itself.

A Great Introduction To Foraging

I bought this for my African Grey to help him understand how to forage. When it arrived I took it off the chain and held it in my hand and showed him how to play with it and then showed him a nutriberry I was about to hide. Jasper was keen to get the nutriberry and took to the Barrel Of Fun in no time. I always introduce Jasper to new toys out of his cage before putting them inside to see how he reacts to them. Jasper now loves to play with this and although he finds it easy to get the treats out of, it is something he enjoys to do. I now hide treats in this on different days, at different times, etc so he never knows when he will find something. Jasper also enjoys playing with this even after retrieving his treat - shouting, screaming at it and banging it against the cage. Also to make it harder, wedge paper inside it so it's harder to open.

Bought this for our CAG Frodo and to be honest he had it open in a few seconds but he absolutely loves it,. Once he removes his treats he will stick food back into it lock it up ,re-open it and remove the food while laughing his head off.He has now taken to filling up the other end of it and will eat the food out of it later on.

For the right bird it's fun

I got this for my Eastern Rosella, but she has no interest. But that doesn't mean I don't think it's a good toy. I think if she had been able to see through it that it had treats, she would have loved it. But as it is she has no reason to touch it, since there is nothing on it to get her attention. I would think that for a bigger parrot it would be fun.

I love this. I am a lovebird, but I can still use it. It doesn't get completely filled up for me, but a few Harrisons in there and I'm on it trying to get it open quicker than you can say 'dinnertime'!Overall I can't fault it!

Bought this for my african grey Chico, he had it open in about 10 seconds so could do with being a bit harder to open. When he had opened it then he spent ages attacking it so it was worthwhile

Durable & Fun

I bought this for my African Grey, and she managed to solve it in about 10 seconds, ate the treat, and then started attacking the toy. It survived without a scratch. I put something in for her every morning, and it's always a bit too easy for her, but it's a good start for teaching a bird to forage.

Jacko has had the barrel since Christmas and has accessed it only twice so far, so it's proving a good toy/treat holder to keep him occupied.
