I rescued an Indian Ringneck Parrot 16 months ago from an awful situation. He was advertised on Facebook 10.30pm on a free to you page. First to collect could have him.

A neighbour told me he was kept in a dark room no light no interaction. Well when I saw him he was a dark greeny brown colour and stank of cigarettes and cooking fat.

He had no toys in his cage apart from a tiny budgie mirror and a long plastic link toy that was dangerous for him.

I asked his age. They didn't know it they said he had a ring on his leg (he doesn?t ). I asked his name and they said he didn't have one.

You could also see his breastbone. He was fed only on monkey nuts. I took him home instantly. The smell off him was so overwhelming.

I ordered him a new cage, new toys and new food. I gave him build up vitamins recommended by a vet. He could not fly. The 1st pic I will post is the day I got him. The 2nd one will be at 9 weeks the first time he got the courage to venture out of his cage and the 3rd one is now.

He?s such a character and he loves one of my dogs; he sings to her daily. Anyone new that visits he pow pows.

His favourite song is if your happy and you know it flap your wings. He eats better than me with fresh vegetables and fruit daily. His name is Bobby/Bobs and when he is on one, the gremlin haha!

His routine is out of his cage all day. In the winter goes into his cage at 8pm, demands his walnut and covered over to sleep by 8.30pm.

In the summer he goes to his cage, demands his nut and covered over to sleep by 10.30pm.
