If you can’t decide which new toy to buy for your Canary, have a read of this handy guide which describes the different options available to you.

Foraging Toys

In the wild your Canary or Finch would naturally go foraging for food. It gives them mental stimulation.

You’ll know your bird best, please choose toys that you feel are suitable for your Canary or Finch. As with anything new it can take some time for your Canary or Finch to accept a new toy. Introduce new toys slowly. Place it some distance away from your bird at first, then bring it closer to them as they become more confident.

Always supervise your Canary or Finch during playtime. Regularly maintain toys, especially ropes or fibres. Remove if you feel it poses a hazard to your bird.
