Say hello to Caesar the Alexandrine

Tell us about your Parrot

This is Caesar Aka the Ceasar beast (the destroyer of anything wooden!) , my 20 month old Alexandrine, who lives with myself, my fiancé and our Cockatiel Ginger.

Why did I choose an Alexandrine?

We chose him due to his beautiful colours and intelligence.

What is his favourite food?

He loves corn and peppers all year round but at Christmas he can't get enough of sprouts!

Does he have any favourite toys?

At the moment he is trying to destroy the stacks of shredding toy (we'll see how long it lasts!) He also likes his food tumbler as he knows it always has yummy treats.

Does he have any games he likes to play?

He likes to crawl all over me and find any buttons I might have on my clothes and see if I notice him chewing them.

Does he speak?

Definitely a big talker! His first word was "hello" and his most recent is "where'd you go". Although "what you doing" and "stroke the belly" are still his favourites!

Do I have any advice for new Parrot owners?

If you want your bird to talk keep repeating the same word and don’t give up. Once they get the hang of one word the rest will soon come.
