My little Green-cheeked Conure Ernie is my best little friend. I rehomed him coming up to 2 years ago as his previous owner didn't want him and he was being neglected.

He was quite timid and very bitey at first but I persevered and now he doesn't leave my side when I'm home.

He loves to preen me and snuggle inside my clothes. He has started talking just a little saying Ernie Birdie, peekaboo, kiss kiss and what you doing?

His colours were drab when I got him but he is so bright and colourful now on his Harrison's pellets and NutriBerries. He loves playing with his toys and he makes everyone laugh when they come round.

I couldn't imagine him not being in my life now as he cheers me up every day. He's my ray of sunshine. I work a lot from home and he sits on my macbook or his playground in my office.

He loves head scritches and beak rubs.
