Manzanita is a sweet-tasting, tropical hardwood. It is particularly strong and resists most bird's chewing attempts indefinitely. The flat perch helps to exercise your bird's feet and prevent sores.

Although Manzanita can split when drying like any wood, this is not a fault, merely an indicator of the hardness, your Parrot certainly won't mind.

Be sure to provide plenty of other material for your bird to chew though!
