Avian Vets in South East England

Finding an experienced avian vet is one of the most important aspects of responsible Parrot ownership. Birds are remarkably good at hiding signs of illness, which means health issues can often become serious before symptoms are obvious. Having the contact details of a qualified avian vet before an emergency arises can help ensure your bird receives the specialist care they need as quickly as possible.
This guide provides a list of avian-experienced veterinary practices. These vets have qualifications, experience or a particular interest in treating birds and exotic species. Whether you need routine health checks, nutritional advice, diagnostic testing or emergency treatment, the practices below can help support your Parrot's health and wellbeing.
Why Choose an Avian Vet?
Parrots have unique anatomy, nutritional requirements and healthcare needs. An avian vet has additional knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating bird-specific conditions, including:
- Feather plucking
- Respiratory diseases
- Psittacosis
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Egg binding
- Beak and nail abnormalities
- Behavioural concerns
Regular health checks with an avian vet can help identify problems early and keep your bird in the best possible condition.

Your parrot's health is one of the most important aspects of responsible bird ownership. Whether you need a routine health check, specialist advice or emergency treatment, choosing an experienced avian vet can make all the difference.
To help you find expert care for your feathered companion, we've compiled a list of RCVS-qualified avian and zoological medicine vets across South East England and London. These veterinary professionals have additional qualifications and experience in treating birds, exotic pets and wildlife.
Please note: This guide is intended as a helpful resource and is not a complete list of avian veterinarians in the region. The vets included hold recognised avian or zoological medicine qualifications.
Why Choose an Avian Vet?
