Parrot Awareness Week helps raise awareness of Parrot welfare, care and responsible ownership. Here's everything you need to know about this important annual campaign.
Parrot Awareness Week is an annual event launched in 2023 to promote the welfare and proper care of Parrots.
Parrot Awareness Week (PAW) was established by the Parrot Society UK, a registered charity, in partnership with organizations such as UK Pet Food and Northern Parrots.
It has support from avian veterinary professionals like veterinary nurses, vets and volunteers to educate Parrot owners on best practices for Parrot care and welfare.
They aim to highlight key themes in Parrot welfare, including nutrition, enrichment, health and responsible ownership.
Parrot Awareness Week produce regular fact sheets and articles to help them with this goal. Plus, there?s Parrot Care Guides that can be sent to you free of charge. Veterinary practices, pet shops, Parrot behaviourists, Parrot owners and Parrot charities are all welcome to request PAW Parrot Care Guides and / or their Parrot Nutrition Posters.
Parrot Awareness Week attend events throughout the year, including our own Think Parrots event.
