We would like to share some wonderful news with all the Northern Parrots readers.
Since the summer of 2018 All Star Parrots Rescue and Rehoming (1176640) and The Parrot Trust Scotland (SCO41254) have been working in a collaboration. This ensures all Parrots across the UK can be offered the support and care needed through two rescues working together.
Parrot Trust Scotland (SCO41254) is a Scottish based registered charity dedicated to the welfare of captive Parrots everywhere.
Due to the longevity of some species, Parrots can have many homes throughout their lifetime with each move often being an anxious and distressing experience for both bird and owner. We are committed to doing everything possible to make this experience more positive by offering assistance and support to enable Parrots and their families to remain together where possible or, when this is not an option, finding the optimum, loving, long-term homes for the Parrots.
By working together with like-minded charities such as All Star Parrots, we are able to share information and expand our experiences of avian welfare. This collaboration also allows more Parrots to be suitably rehomed throughout the UK thereby ensuring the best outcome for all.
Through support, education, rehabilitation and protection, Parrot Trust Scotland aim to improve living conditions for Parrots. We might not be able to change the world for all the Parrots on the planet, but we will change the world for as many Parrots as possible.
Nala the Blue and Gold Macaw highlighted in this month’s blog is one of the Parrots we are able to help through our joint working, rescued through PTS and rehoming supported by ASP.
