Jute Rope Ball Parrot Foot Toy - Medium

My grey loves these balls of which I have bought a few. Throwing the ball is great for her as she finds it a great time to interact with me.

Yesterday my African Grey almost died because I had this toy in his cage This ball is great until the wood is removed by your bird in the middle as then it starts to unravel Yesterday the rope got wrapped tight around my Greys neck and he was struggling to breath Thankfully my girlfriend walked though the living room and was able to put her hand in for him to stand on and shout me in It was only by luck that I had just been using some scissors I was terrified as I cut just above his head 3 times to get the rope to break but thankfully it did and he breathed very heavily for 5 minutes If we had been out or not gone in the room at that exact moment I have no doubt I would have just been responsible for loosing my birds life I know all toys state supervision at all times but birds need toys when we are not around. This toy is a dont buy at all or if you do only when you are watching your bird not watching TV Watching your bird Door bell goes take the toy with you He is currently preening and is fine but please dont make the mistake I made

I bought this for my lovely Senegal. He was a bit cautious at first but from finally thawed. He was happily playing and I turned away for a second only to find he was struggling with it after wrapping a loop around his little leg. I managed to extricate him without grief but was a bit concerned as to what might have happened if I hadnt been there. The ball, sadly went in the bin. Just be cautious - hed only had the toy for a couple of days so it was hardly overused

This product was easy for my Parrot to chew, but does not have the longevity that other toys have, but is relatively cheap to buy.
