Johnsons Parrot Bumper Treat Seed Bar - 175g

My conure really likes unhooking these bars and watching them drop to the bottom of her cage. It all adds to the fun if you are a conure who lives for noise and destruction. She loves the sunflower seeds and the bars definitely add extra entertainment to snacking.

My African Gray parrot enjoys eating and pulling this bar apart. Fits on to cage easy.

Much bigger than expected, so very good value for money. My 4 cockatiels devoured it, but there were an awful lot of sunflower seeds in it which are very fattening - maybe not the most healthy of treats. Okay as an occassional treat.

My Amazon did love this, but it's mainly made up of Sunflower seeds, so if you have a Cockatoo or Galah, it might not be the right choice as you'll need to try and avoid the birds getting fatty liver issues. It didn't last all that long for my Cuban to devour, it was gone overnight.

Normally when I buy treat sticks for my Rosella she can empty one in a day even though I buy the most expensive ones. When I got the Johnsons Parrot Bumber Bar I was amazed at it's size and that it is made of a solid block of seeds and nuts with only a thin stick holding it together to hang it in. The best thing is that it doesn't fall off in big chunks when she eats it and it's a real challenge for her to pick of every bit. It has taken her more than a week to eat just one side of it. The other side is still clinging to the lower part of the stick but I have put a feeding bowl under it to give it extra support. I would say there is no waste at all with these Bumber bars and everything is fresh. I will most certainly make sure to include a bunch of them with my next order:)
