Important Information Regarding Product Recall on 346288 - Fun Foraging Basket Toy

We’ve recently become aware of a potential safety issue with the following toy…

Product Code: 346288

Manufacturer: Super Bird Creations

Product Description: Fun Foraging Basket Toy for Parrots .

A small number weren’t produced according to the design specification and have a part which has been stapled. The part in question is the four strips of coloured corrugated paper. You will find them in a fan shape at the back of the toy.

Below is a statement from Super Bird Creations…

“Hi All, I absolutely understand your concerns about the staples used in this toy. It is definitely not part of our design.

We have many of our toys made through sheltered workshops and unfortunately one of them decided they could make their job a bit easier by stapling the strips together. This was an unapproved modification that was not identified at the time they produced a batch of approximately 200 toys produced several months ago.

We have re-educated our assemblers on the need to follow our designs carefully and not to make any modifications. We have also since verified that all in house stock was correctly made and have heightened our onsite QC inspections on toys made outside of our facility.

Unfortunately, we had no means to trace who received shipments from that batch of toys. I'm sincerely sorry that this unapproved modification slipped past us and for any concerns that have arisen over this unfortunate occurrence.

As the owner of Super Bird Creations, not to mention a pet bird owner for over 50 years, the safety of our products is always my primary concern.”

We will be contacting everyone who has been affected by this problem. We believe it is from a recent batch - we will then refund or replace the toy. We take safety seriously and offer our sincere apologies that this toy escaped our checks.
