Makes Great Toys For My Lovebirds Chai And Latte And My African Grey Polly

I buy this to thread through smaller wooden beads for my lovebirds, it keeps them entertained for hours.. I have an African Grey, and I tie some of this leather in smaller knots on the rope toys I make her.. Its not something I would thread through Beads for my African grey as she would chew through the leather too quickly. She does enjoy trying to untie the leather knots I make with this on her toys. Great toy making leather for the smaller bird and also great for knotting and attaching things to the larger birds activity Toys.

Chai And Latte My Lovebirds Love These

I order these as a treat for my lovebirds Chai and Latte. It gives them something different to occupy their time, when not out of their cage.. They like the johnsons ones the best and albeit the seed bell does eventually fall off the hanger, I just pop it in their seed bowl and they finish nibbling it there. A great treat for our small feathery friends.

Polly Loves This On Toast Crusts
7th February 2015

I have bought Parrot Palm nuts frozen in the past for my parrots but they werent too fussed about them. I heard the palm nut extract and thought I would try it. My grey can be fussy about new foods and colours but she has really taken to a couple of toast crusts with a little extract spread on them.. The texture is different to her and she clicks and rubs her beak but she does eat it off the toast, it doesnt end up dropped in the bottom of the cage.. in the day I have given her a little on the end of a Tidymix garlic stick and she will sit with that for a few minutes too.. I think in the wild they must rub their beaks in the palm nuts to get the oil to condition their beaks as I have seen some unusual and different behaviour in Polly in a good way. I have recently moved home and was worried Polly may be unsettled but the food supplement seems to have been a good thing and she has got into a new breakfast and preening routine. Anyone with a fussy eater give this a try.

Great Product For My African Grey Polly

These perches are great! I have had my Grey for twelve years and she was 11 weeks old when I first kitted her cage out.. in that time she has chewed her way through countless rope and sissal perches I did try a couple of wooden type perches in her cage but as with many Greys, she just would not accept the change of perch.. and sit in the opposite area of her cage until I removed them... I first came across the Manzanita perch about 4 years ago, I ordered just one and have to say, that 4 years later the perch is still in use in Pollys cage. Before I had Polly her leg had been broken as a baby and set but she does have a deformity with her foot. These perches are smooth, easy to clean and she sits very comfortably on them.. The best thing is she has never chewed or destroyed it.. I would recommend anyone with a bird that likes to chew perches to try a manzanita perch. It has saved me a fortune in replacing chewed perches.. I have bought another one for her travel box.
