Good For Parrots Who Like To Bash Bells
4th August 2019
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this, especially the ball, and I like that the chains can be pulled through it to adjust their length. The bells are not the most substantial, but so far they are surviving well. Our CAG loves to give this a good bash when hes in a huff. He doesnt play with it often, which was disappointing at first, but when he does decide to abuse it he enjoys it a lot! Its pretty solid, so it can stand up to the abuse, but couldnt say how a more destructive cockatoo would fair.....

Reliable Favourite

This is a reliable favourite of our house. Our CAG loves to shred paper after he has eaten. It isnt massive compared to his other preening toys, but our CAG seems to especially like its texture and does take his time over it. It easily lasts use a good month. Will continue to buy these.

Good Shreddable Fun
4th August 2019
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
Bought this for our CAG who loves to shred paper. Its a decent size for him and well made, nicely packed with paper. The centre ring is also cardboard, which our CAG took his time over once he had shredded the outer paper. I would have given it 5 stars, but it didnt last quite as long as I would have liked, but I do like that i could reuse the cardboard ring on the chain for a bit longer. I would buy it again.

Injured Our Bird
18th April 2018
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
Our parents bought us one of these as a gift from another supplier, so we returned ours. We put it together, put our usually calm african grey in it. No fluttering or panic because he could see us. We were delighted. Then we picked the cage up. He lost his balance slightly but because the sides are perspex he couldnt get any kind of foothold and fell forward cutting his face just above his beak. Not for us.

I tried to change my CAG onto this instead of the Harrisons coarse mix, as that is aimed at birds in season or that health problems etc. I failed miserably. He cant stand them. I persisted for about 6 months, but he just doesnt like them. Its a decent mix though, with a good size pellet, will seek advice on his diet from the vet.

Staple Diet
11th February 2015
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
We used this for our CAG when we first got him. He was a fruit junkie and wouldnt eat any thing other than grapes and seed. We started using these pellets as treats, and eventually introduced them into his bowl. After a months on just the pellets his health really improved and his temperament changed completely. Happily he now has a full and varied diet or vegetables and grains, but we still use these in his food as a supplement, or again as treats.

Best Thing Ever
11th February 2015

Want your CAG to eat a new food item it isnt sure about ......no problem, cover it in palm oil! Great on toast, melted on chopped vegetables, cous cous, rice, pasta, egg. Its simply brilliant, I always keep it in the fridge! Its really good for them too. We have used it for about 2 years now, and his beak cracking has completely gone, his feathers are really healthy with a lovely shine. After he has finished eating it his beak looks so shiny and smooth. Warning - you will need to bathe your parrot as this is an oil and it spreads when warm. It turns our CAGs feet and face orange. Also, I know it seems obvious but, dont use a spoon that already has any food on it, or that you have wiped clean. If you do you may get mould growing on the oil when its in solid form. Best use a clean spoon, and keep it in the fridge.

Our Survey Says....No

I really want to like this, but sadly our CAG hates it. We have had this a long time, and no matter what we do he will not go in it. Its a shame, because its a good size and well made. Granted the perch will likely need replacing over time, but thats OK. The product itself is very good, my bird just wont use it. Sad face.

Good Perch
11th February 2015
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
We have had our perch a while now and it hasnt failed us yet. It hasnt fallen off the tiles, and it seems to give our CAG a decent grip. The perch itself is a decent thickness. It is tricky to clean, as its textured, but overall a good buy.

Refillable Fun
11th February 2015
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
At first I was a little disappointed with how small this feeder is, but over time this has worked to its advantage. We now move it around the house, and fill it with seeds for treats or dried fruit. Because its harder to find our CAG has to look really hard for it, and because its small you dont go overboard with the treats!

Lots Of Shreddable Fun
11th February 2015
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
This keeps my CAG entertained for ages. I have bought quite a few of these over the years, and will continue to do so. I especially love that you can buy refills for the coloured shreadable paper now, so I can turn any of his toys into one of these. If you have a bird that likes shredding this is a safe bet.

Good flat perch
19th November 2013

I bought this for my Grey to stretch his feet on. He took to it instantly. A good solid perch, very happy. It is pricey for essentially a flat piece of wood, but i shall definately invest in a couple more.

A sure way of driving your bird crazy
5th August 2013
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
Our Grey loves toys that make noises, so I wanted a new bell that he couldn't destroy in two minutes, a skill he has perfected. This seemed like the perfect solution and has not disappointed us yet. The connection to the bell from the chain is sealed inside the plastic casing too so he has not managed to disassemble that either. We love watching him trying to figure out how to get to the bell! Overall I am very happy with this product. We have had it 5 months and its still going strong. Nice and easy to wash as well - always a bonus.

Hours of fun!
5th August 2013
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
Our Grey loves his treasure chest. Over time he has got quicker at emptying it, and quickly calls us over to have it re-filled. We like this as it is completely reusable. When we are waiting for more wooden blocks to arrive we fill it with grapes etc so great for encouraging foraging behaviours. Easy to clean, and value for money. Great for birds who love a puzzle.

Fun but short lived
5th August 2013
Rank : Top 20 Reviewer
I bought this for our Grey and was overjoyed when he excitedly started bashing it. However after two hours he had managed to disconnect the ball from its fine chain, so now we cant hang it on anything. Instead we roll it on the floor for him, but its not quite the same. I hoped it would have been made a bit better, so if you have a Grey you loves to destroy and has a thing for metal this probably isn't for you. So three stars for this fun but very very short lived toy. A real shame.
