If you’re a Cockatoo owner, you need to get involved in our Northern Parrots Unofficial Cockatoo Day this December 14th. Get involved on social media by using the #CockatooDay so we know you and your Cockatoo are celebrating.

Once again we're teaming up with Feathered Friends on Facebook to bring you this day, and they'll be sharing lovely pictures and blog posts relating to Cockatoos as well.

There are many different species of Cockatoo, and Rosemary Low has written about many of these in her fact sheets. These are Moluccan Cockatoos, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Galahs and Umbrella Cockatoos.

These Parrots have a big stature and even bigger personality, and as a result are one of the most challenging species of Parrot to care for.
