Harrison’s bird foods was formulated in 1989 by Dr. Greg Harrison using Organic ingredients. This USDA certified Organic range of complete foods provides proper nutrition for your pet bird and requires little or no supplementation.

Dr. Greg Harrison grew up in a small farming community in Iowa, and went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. After working in South Florida he eventually made the move and opened his own practise in Lake Worth. Following his work as a zoo and wild animal park consultant Dr. Greg Harrison`s work moved him more and more into aviculture.

At one time he owned over 150 pairs of various Parrot species, which lead to his work in developing a better feed to improve the health of his birds. Thus he created Harrison`s with other avian veterinarians, the world`s first Organic formulated diet for Parrots.

Dr. Greg Harrison has remained the main developer. Using Organic ingredients and combining the knowledge of 34 years in bird care to create Harrison`s Bird Foods to this day he still believes the single most important thing you can do for your bird is to feed them right.
