Aviator Parrot Harnesses

The Aviator Harnesses for pet birds and Parrots were developed by Steve Hartman, who founded The Parrot University in 1984, at the Hartman Aviary. The Parrot University evolved out of the need to develop new husbandry practices and educate others in the industry. The Hartman Aviary opened its own lab facility at The Ohio State University Veterinary School to provide an accredited course for students interested in avian medicine and research.

With over 30 trips to Central America, South America and Asia, Steve has developed significant knowledge of many aspects of Parrots in their natural habitat. This, coupled with the experience of 2,800 flighted Parrots at the Hartman Aviary since 1984, revealed a great deal about the importance of flight on the mental and physical health of pet birds. This experience led to the development of the Aviator Harness and Aviator Flight Line.

Aviator Harnesses are ideal for enjoying your bird's company when you are out and about and are fitted with an elasticated lead for security. Leash extensions are available too.
